For the customary system take a look at Mr. Gallon! He is a perfect example to help you with conversions in capacity. Mr. Gallon shows that in one gallon there are four quarts and in one quart there is two pints. He also tells you that there are four quarts in a gallon, but there is eight pints in a gallon too. if you look very closely you can see that there are six-teen cups in one gallon!
for the metric system just remember it's all based on tens!!!
